Cordots Rules

Tier 1: Quick Start Guide

  • Objective: Reduce opponent to 1 piece total (or 1 Capturer with no Victims left). Both sides down to 2 pieces each is an automatic tie.
  • Movement: 1 square orthogonally (forward, backward, left, right). No diagonals or jumping.
  • Captures: Custodial sandwiching (bracket an enemy piece between two of your Capturer pieces).
  • Mandatory Swap: Lose a Capturer to a sandwich capture and you must immediately promote an on-board Victim to Capturer to replace it. After swapping, you retain turn control to make a normal move.
  • Back-Row Sacrifice: A Capturer sitting on the enemy's base row can sacrifice itself to remove any one enemy Capturer.
